Although Andrea Longacre-White's photographic practice is premised on "an ongoing investigation of hidden currents, whether within culture or the photographic image", it's fair to say that many of the themes in her work - such as self-referentiality or expansion of photographic form - are far from hidden, but very much part of recent dialogues and developments within art photography.
Nevertheless, Longacre-White's voice is distinctive enough to have gained her growing recognition, her contribution to the rapidly evolving scrutiny of the photograph itself both intriguing and powerful.
