Scott-Douglas's paintings often combine the manufactured with the hand-crafted, featuring, for example, silk stretched across a panel of mirror, or micro-mesh fabrics layered above painted surfaces to create striking moiré effects.

Taking visual cues from minimalism and op art, Scott-Douglas's works explore the possibilities of production through delicate abstractions that are half medium, half authored.
