In Tobias Madison's eclectic practice, the artificialities of contemporary lifestyles are exposed - often through a stylistic nod towards the art and design excesses of the recent past.
Corporate aesthetics are consistently plundered, parodied and pummelled: logos exploded into Photoshopped extravaganzas, or plastic plants housed in slender, lobby-style vitrines.
Radisson hotel flags pilfered during an extensive, intercontinental road trip are reconstituted as canvases for collaborative paintings, their 'Yes I Can!' mantra an invitation to appropriation.
And digital technology becomes a new stage for kitsch abandon, the pitfalls of over-zealous Photoshop use lampooned in compellingly tragi-comic images.
